RALEIGH, NC – Sophomore Promise Cross made a strong showing in two events to lead the Toledo women's track and field team on Day Two of the Raleigh Relays on Friday.
Cross took 26th in the high jump with a leap of 1.60m and 31st in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.48.
Senior Semra Karaslan led a trio of Rockets in the 1500m with a time of 4:23.45, taking 30th out of 196 runners in the field. Sophomores Lou Trois (4:25.91) and Krystal Clark (4:26.04) were right behind Karaslan, placing 35th and 36th respectively.
Sophomore Madeline Vining had the best showing for the Rockets in the 5000m, taking 59th place with a time of 16:41.25.
The final day of the Raleigh Relays will begin at 9:45 a.m. tomorrow, with field events, followed by track events scheduled for 11:45 a.m.
