TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's track and field team will head to Raleigh, N.C. this Thursday-Saturday to compete in NC State's Raleigh Relays. Members of the Toledo men's cross-country team will also participate in the event.
Â
The Rockets will be competing against some of the top athletes in the country and are looking to earn qualifying times for the NCAA East Regionals.
Â
"The Raleigh Relays is always a big meet," said assistant head coach
Nick Stenuf. "This is where we are hoping to get a couple regional qualifiers. While it is the first outdoor meet of the season for many of our athletes, we feel like we are rolling right now coming off the MAC Indoor Championships. We've got some high energy and are expecting some good performances."
Â
The men's cross country team will compete in the 5000m and 10,000m runs.
"The guys are looking to get some fast times and head into the summer with confidence as we head into another cross country season next fall," said Stenuf.
