About Kent State
Kent State enters Monday's game at 19-11 and has the unusual distinction of earning a WNIT berth despite not making the MAC Tournament. Monday's game will feature two of the stingiest defenses in the MAC, with the Rockets leading the league in scoring defense (60.1) and the Golden Flashes close behind in second place (61.3). Four players on Kent State average double figures in scoring: Katie Shumate (12.1), Lindsey Thall (11.5), Nila Blackford (10.5), and Casey Santoro (10.2), with Bridget Dunn (9.3) not far behind.
