BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Toledo's women's swimming and diving team finished in eighth place with 233.5 points at the 2022 Mid-American Conference Championships Saturday night. Over the course of four days of competition, Rockets had 12 season-best swims, 21 personal-best swims and three school records.

Toledo captured four podium finishes and set two school records in the seven championship events on Day Four. Senior Joelle Gallais took fifth in the Three-Meter dive, junior Jovana Duric took third in the 1,650 Freestyle, the 400 Freestyle Relay finished fourth, and junior Kennedy Lovell took seventh in the 100 Freestyle. Lovell broke the school record in the leadoff 100 free at 49.62, and helped the 400 Freestyle Relay Team set a new school record of 3:21.48.

Sophomore Madison Giglio and Gallais will begin the postseason at the 2022 NCAA Zone C Diving Championship on March 7-9 in Ann Arbor, Mich. Giglio will compete on the one-and three-meter boards, whole Gallais will compete on the platform.

On March 10-12, Duric, Lovell and freshman Molly Pressler will be competing in the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championships in Elkhart, Ind.
