Rockets Suit Up for MAC Championships

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's swimming and diving team will compete at the 2022 Mid-American Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championships this week on Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 23-26. Bowling Green is hosting this year's championship meet.
The MAC Championships will begin Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. with the 200 Medley Relay, followed the 800 Freestyle Relay events.
Admission and Attendance Guidelines
Admission for the MAC Championships is $40 for all adults if they want an all-session pass and $20 for all seniors and youth (3-17) for the all-session pass. A single session pass is $12 for adults and $7 for seniors and youth. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online. Fans will be required to wear a mask while attending the MAC Championsips.

Last Time Out
Toledo ended the dual season with five event wins in the 189-109 setback to Bowling Green on Feb. 12. Juniors Lauren Kilgore, Kennedy Lovell and Jovana Duric each won an event in the pool while sophomore Madison Giglio won the three-meter. Kilgore took the top spots in the 100 butterfly and the 200 freestyle, while Lovell won the 100 freestyle and Duric took the 500 freestyle.
Both of Giglio's marks in the three-meter (312.83) and the one-meter (273.75) were career-best scores and NCAA Zone qualifying marks. Her performance was good enough for MAC Co-Diver of the Week honors (Feb. 16), the first of her career.

Giglio and senior Joelle Gallais will begin the postseason at the 2022 NCAA Zone C Diving Championship on Monday-Wednesday March 7-9 in Ann Arbor, Mich. Giglio will compete on the one-and three-meter boards, whole Gallais will compete on the platform.
In the pool on Thursday-Saturday March 10-12, juniors Jovana Duric and Kennedy Lovell and freshman Molly Pressler will be competing in th College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championships in Elkhart, Ind.Â
