Rockets Place Fifth at Mobile Bay Intercollegiate

MOBILE, Ala. - Senior Lukas Clark shot a season-low four-under par 212 to lead Toledo to a fifth-place finish at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate on Tuesday. Clark fired a pair of three-under 69s during the tourney that included nine teams ranked in Golfstat's Top 100 at the par-72, 7,212-yard Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course.

Sophomore Barend Botha tied for 13th place at two-under par 214 (76-68-70), two strokes in front of his brother, junior NJ Botha (73-68-75=216/T-23rd). NJ shot a career-low 68 in the second round, while Barend also shot an identical 68 in the second round.

Rounding out the Rocket lineup were senior Max Siegfried (74-75-73=222/T-47th) and sophomore Jamie Tofte Nielsen (76-77-73=226/T-59th)

Florida State captured the tournament title at 16-under par.

The Rockets will return to action on Monday-Tuesday, Feb. 28-March 1 in Placida, Fla. for the Florida Gulf Coast's Coral Creek Club Invitational.
