TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team (8-2) is set to host Oakland (6-4) on Wednesday night in its final non-conference game of the season. The Rockets and Golden Grizzlies will tip off at 7:00 p.m. at Savage Arena and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Toledo brings a five-game winning streak into Wednesday night's game. UT is outscoring teams by an average score of 72.2 - 57.2 during the streak and is shooting 47.1 percent from the floor.
The last time Toledo took the court was a 57-45 victory vs. Dayton on Sunday, Dec. 11 at Savage Arena. The win snapped the Rockets' three-game losing streak against Dayton, which has made 15 straight postseason appearances and won an NCAA Tournament game last season.
Leading the charge vs. the Flyers was junior
Khera Goss, who scored a career-best 16 points, the sixth time this season she has eclipsed double figures in scoring. Senior
Quinesha Lockett scored 10 points while dishing out five assists. Senior
Sophia Wiard stuffed the box score, tying a career-high with 11 rebounds and adding seven points, six assists, and a team-best three steals. Junior

Jessica Cook each tallied seven rebounds, helping Toledo win the battle on the glass, 45-36.
For her efforts against Dayton and #14 Michigan, Goss was named the MAC's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week on Dec. 14. Goss is a psychology major who carries a 3.485 cumulative GPA and was an Academic All-MAC selection last season. On the court, she was Toledo's leading scorer that week, averaging 13.5 PPG across two wins against the Wolverines and Flyers.
Next up for the Rockets is their MAC opener vs. Western Michigan at home on Wednesday, Jan. 4.

- During its current five-game winning streak, Toledo is shooting 47.1 percent from the floor and averaging 72.2 PPG. Opponents are shooting 37.7 percent from the floor and averaging just 57.2 PPG.

- Justina King has been nearly automatic at the charity stripe, knocking down 19-of-20 free throws (95.0%). King's only missed free throw attempt was her first of the season, meaning she has made 19 free throws in a row in game action.
- The Rockets have done an exceptional job of taking care of the ball, ranking second in the MAC and 23rd in the country in fewest turnovers per game (12.9). UT has committed 12 or fewer turnovers in six of its 10 games, including a season-low eight turnovers in the season opener vs. Wright State.
