CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming team finished with a team score of 702 for a fourth-place finish at the end of three days Cleveland State's Magnus Cup Invitational. The Rockets captured seven top-10 finishes on Saturday afternoon, and 23 overall.

Senior Jovana Duric started the day with a third-place finish in the 1650 and she was followed by sophomore Lindsey Creek who touched eighth overall with a personal-best time of 17:33.25.

Senior Kennedy Lovell also had a third-place finish on Saturday, in the 100 freestyle. freshman Janne Slegers touched in eighth place at 51.89, one-tenth of a second to match her personal-best time. In the same event, junior Nejla Karic also recorded a PR time of 52.14 for a 16th-place finish.

Both Rockets in the 200 breaststroke finished with personal-best times. Junior Alicia Zarzo-Ramirez finished seventh at 2:21.51, and freshman Alexis Schrecongost was timed at 2:27.58 (25th).

Senior Lauren Kilgore ended the individual events with a PR time of 2:02.32 and a fourth-place finish in the 200 butterfly.

The Toledo A team of Slegers, Lovell, LeFever, Kilgore had the highest finish of the night, runner up with a season-best time of 3:23.06 in the 400 freestyle relay.

Five Rockets will travel down to Miami, Fla. to compete in the CSCAA Open Water Championships on Monday, Dec. 19 in Biscayne Bay.
