Rockets Will Split Time in Cleveland and West Virginia this Weekend

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team will split off this weekend as it sends its swimmers to Cleveland State's Magnus Cup while the divers will participate in West Virginia's Diving Invitational. Both events will run Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 17-19.
Last Time Out
Toledo won its first dual meet win on Nov. 11 against Cleveland State, and followed up with two more head-to-head wins against Bowling Green and Marshall at its home tri-meet on Nov. 5 at the Student Recreation Center and Pool.
The Rockets took first all 13 events against the Vikings and had nine runner-up finishes. At the tri-meet the following night, Toledo had six first-place finishes and six runner-up finishes. Freshman Janne Slegers was responsible for three of the Rockets' wins, coming in the 100 and 200 freestyle events. Senior Jovana Duric won the 500 freestyle event for the fourth consecutive meet this season.
On the diving boards, sophomore Kassie Gutierrez won the one-meter board and junior Madison Giglio took first in the three-meter board at CSU. In the tri-meet, Giglio finished runner-up in the three-meter and junior Ryli Harden took third on the same board.
