TOLEDO, Ohio – Six members of the University of Toledo women's soccer team were selected to the 2022 Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Wednesday.
Ashton Cassel,
Emily Mann,
Madison Medalle,
Rylee Michaels,
Morgan Otteson, and
Adele Stradling were recognized for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
To qualify for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5, play in at least 50 percent of the team's contests and be a significant contributor on the field. Honorees will now appear on the Academic All-America ballot, with results to be released on Dec. 3.
Cassel (Sr, midfielder) holds a 3.95 GPA while pursuing a degree in nursing.
Mann (Jr., midfielder) maintains a 3.56 GPA in pursue of a business degree.
Medalle (Jr., forward) has a 3.93 GPA while pursuing a degree in psychology.
Michaels (Sr., defender) is pursuing a degree in professional sales and has a 3.89 GPA.
Otteson (Graduate student, forward) holds a 4.0 GPA while pursuing her master's degree in business administration.
Stradling (Jr., defender) is a university studies major with a 3.60 GPA.
