Rockets Wrap Up Regular Season at Warrior Challenge

NEW BOSTON, Mich. – The Toledo men's and women's cross country teams ended their regular seasons at Wayne State's Warrior Challenge on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Morgan Hicks led the women's team with a 13th-place finish, and senior captain Jonathon Hrivnak led the way for the men with a 24th-place finish and a PR time of 26:07.5.
The men's team finished ninth overall with a representative field of seven Rockets. Following Hrivnak were seniors Kassim Kibet in 34th place and Cooper Losey in 56th place. Sophomore Xavier Gallo finished 66th overall with a PR time of 27:06.2. while sophomore Gavin Lammers rounded out the top-100 runners in 89th place. Freshmen Avery Casillas and Eric Hollar posted times of 27:56.2 and 28:16.4, respectively, in their first 8K race.
Toledo had three runners participate in the women's 6K. Following Hicks was freshman Michaela McGill and senior Jordyn Boyer. McGill ran a 23:36.2 for a 38th-place finish in her first race as a Rocket. Boyer ran a 24:32.2 and came in 71st place.
Toledo will head to the Mid-American Conference Championships in Athens, Ohio on Saturday, Oct. 29.
