Toledo Hosts No. 25 Akron for Friday Night Dual Meet

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo swimming and diving team will honor its senior class at its home meet against No. 25 Akron on Friday, Jan. 28 at the UToledo Student Recreation Center and Pool.
Senior recognition is set to begin at 4:40 p.m. followed by race time scheduled at 5:00 p.m. Fans can watch the meet via the Toledo swimming and diving Facebook page.Â
Last Time Out
The Rockets managed to win eight events but came up short, 172-128, against Bowling Green on Saturday. Juniors Jovana Duric and Kennedy Lovell as well as sophomore Sydney Conrad each won two events alongside junior Ashley Lefever with one win. Three Rockets set career-best times/ scores including junior Ashley Lefever (100 freestyle), sophomore Madison Giglio (one-meter), freshman Molly Pressler (500 freestyle) and the 200 medley relay team (1:45.95).
About No. 25 Akron
Akron won six events and five silver medals for a runner-up position at Notre Dame's Tim Welsh Classic, Jan. 21-22. The Zips have a 3-1 record this season, including wins over Miami (Oct. 30), Eastern Michigan (Nov. 6) and Ohio (Jan. 14).
