Toledo Divers Head to Buffalo for UB Diving Invitational

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's diving team will open the new year in Buffalo, N.Y. this weekend for the Buffalo Diving Invitational on Friday-Sunday, Jan. 14-16.

The invitational will kick off at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 14 with the women's one-meter event. Three-meter dives are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 15 at 11:00 a.m.. The tournament will wrap on Sunday, Jan. 16 with platform dives, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Diving Last Time Out
Senior Joelle Gallais earned a postseason entry following a NCAA Zone Diving qualifying 229.75 platform mark at the West Virginia Diving Invitational on Nov. 11. Gallais took third overall in the prelim/quarterfinals round on platform, sixth overall in the three-meter and seventh in the one-meter.

Freshman Kassie Gutierrez finished fourth (191.75) in her first platform attempt, while junior Madison Giglio set a career-best 248.05 in the three-meter.
