TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo men's cross country team placed eight student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC team, the conference announced Tuesday. Juniors
Jake Rethman (3.984) and
Tanner Delk (3.962) led the way for the Rockets with the highest GPAs.
Buffalo led the MAC with 11 recipients, followed by Toledo with eight recipients.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
For the 201 fall semester, the men's cross country team posted a combined 3.559 GPA . University of Toledo student-athletes overall earned a combined grade point average of 3.346 in the fall. It is the sixth consecutive semester in which UToledo student-athletes have earned a semester GPA of 3.3 or higher.
