TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team will travel to Fort Wayne, Ind. this weekend to participate in the 2021 Mid-American Conference Championships. The Rockets will be one of eight schools competing for the opportunity to play in the 2021 NCAA Regionals.
The two-day event will be held on Friday-Saturday, April 30-May 1 at the par-72, 7,253-yard Sycamore Hills Golf Club. Thirty-six holes will be played on Friday with 18 holes scheduled for Saturday.

THE FIELD
• Eight schools are participating in the MAC Championships.
• Kent State has won the last four MAC Championships and has won a conference-best 26 tourney titles. The Golden Flashes are ranked No. 42 in Golfstat's national rankings followed by Toledo (134), Eastern Michigan (141), Ball State (170), Miami (171), Northern Illinois (174), Bowling Green (193) and Ohio (199).

ROCKETS AT THE MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
• The Rockets have won three league crowns in school history in 1964, 2002 and 2004. Toledo also posted runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2015.

Barend Botha is leading the Rockets with a 72.9 scoring mark.
• Duncan McNeill became the fifth Rocket ever to capture MAC medalist honors in 2019. He joined Ciaran McAleavey (2008), Brad Heaven (2004), Mike Stone (1992) and Tim Hirt (1979, 1980, 1981). Tim Rice tied for first place in 1997.
• Toledo finished third at the 2019 MAC Championships.
