Distance Medley Relay Team Named 2nd-Team All-MAC

TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo distance medley relay team of Rayna Horner, Semra Karasalan, Emily Vining and Madeline Vining made Second-Team All-MAC after finishing second in the distance medley relay at the 2021 Mid-American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships in Mount Pleasant last weekend.
Toledo's DMR team finished with a time of 11:38.18, just narrowly behind first-place Bowling Green's time of 11:38.02 in competition on Friday.
Karaslan also made Second-Team All-MAC after placing second in the 3000m on Saturday. Her time of 9:36.79 (converted to banked curve track time of 9:31.89) was her personal-best time and the second fastest time in the MAC this year.
The Rockets open their outdoor season with the Blizzard Buster in Oxford, Ohio on Saturday, Mar. 20.
