TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's basketball team returns to the court on Wednesday, Dec. 8 for its annual Education Day game and a matinee matchup with St. Francis (Pa.) at 11:00 a.m. on ESPN3.

The Rockets (3-2) have not played since Nov. 25-26, when they split their two games at the 2021 Cancun Challenge. Toledo defeated Idaho State, 79-58, on Thanksgiving before dropping a hard-fought overtime battle with Seton Hall the next day, 68-63.

Toledo shot well in the win over the Bengals, making 29-of-56 shots from the field (51.8%) and connecting on 10-of-19 three-point field goals (52.6%). Junior Quinesha Lockett had a season-high 24 points against Idaho State, her seventh straight game with at least 20 points dating back to last season.

In the loss to Seton Hall, sophomore Nan Garcia tallied her first career double-double, scoring 13 points and pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds.

Lockett has blossomed into not just one of the best scorers in the MAC, but in the nation. The Omaha, Neb. native leads the conference and ranks ninth nationally in scoring, averaging 21.4 points per game.

St. Francis carries a record of 0-7 into Wednesday morning's game, most recently suffering a 64-59 defeat at the hands of La Salle. The Red Flash have faced one other Mid-American Conference opponent, Kent State, in a game the Golden Flashes won 71-45.

Leading the way offensively for St. Francis is senior guard Jenna Mastellone. She is averaging 8.4 PPG, but she has scored at least 15 points in each of her last two outings.
