Cole Shoults closed out the Mid-American Conference Indoors by winning their respective flight brackets on Sunday in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Rockets went a combined 20-9 record through the three-day tournament.
"We loved our guys' improvement each day in their competitiveness and their enthusiasm," head coach
Al Wermer said. "This path helped escalate our level of energy and play through the weekend. It was a very positive fall finisher because it shows us how good we can be by spring and the MAC season."
The Rockets finished with six wins out of seven matches on Sunday's finals rounds. In addition to the three bracket champions, sophomore
Pawit Sornlaksup finished third overall in Flight One.
Toledo will begin its spring season on Tuesday, Jan.18 against Tiffin.
