Toledo Faces Ball State in Home Opener on Saturday

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's swimming and diving team will host its first of three home dual meets when it faces Ball State on Saturday, Nov. 6.
The meet is scheduled to begin at noon in the Student Recreation Center Pool.
Last Time Out
Toledo (0-2, 0-1 MAC) was defeated in its first Mid-American Conference dual of the season 198-102 by defending MAC champion Buffalo on Oct. 30. The Rockets won five events and had six other top-three finishes. Junior Lauren Kilgore claimed three of the Rockets' victories in the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 IM. Junior Jovana Duric took the crown in the 1,000 freestyle and fellow junior Kennedy Lovell took first in the 200 freestyle.
Freshmen Kassie Gutierrez and Alicia Zarzo-Ramirez recorded personal-bests in their respective events at Buffalo. Gutierrez marked a 226.35 on the one-meter dive and Zarzo-Ramirez clocked a time of 1:08.13 in the 100 breaststroke.

Ball State (1-1, 0-1 MAC) is coming off a back-to-back dual meet weekend with Eastern Illinois and Ohio. The Cardinals swept 12 events and came out victorious over Eastern Illinois, 174-84 on Oct. 29. They then earned nine event victories in a close dual with Ohio the following night but fell short 157-143.
