TOLEDO, Ohio – Junior Ryann Jaqua was named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Jaqua played a huge role in Toledo 2-0 weekend, turning in two outstanding matches against Kent State. She averaged 7.00 digs/sets and successfully received 24-of-25 serves that came her way. In Friday's three-set sweep, Jaqua collected 28 digs and recorded three service aces to help Toledo open its weekend with a win. On Saturday, Jaqua added 14 digs and was a perfect 11-for-11 on the receiving end in the third straight, three-set win for the Rockets. Jaqua currently ranks second in the MAC in digs/set (5.00).

Toledo has a pair of road matches on the docket for this weekend. The Rockets will play at Buffalo on Friday before visiting Akron on Saturday.
