TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo men's golf team wraps up its fall season this weekend when it travels to Greensboro, N.C. for the Grandover Collegiate.

The 16-team tournament will be held at the par-72, 7,270-yard Grandover Country Club's East Course on Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 23-24. An 8:30 a.m. shotgun start will be utilized for Saturday's action with an 8:30 a.m. tee time scheduled for Sunday.

The Rockets will be competing against a field that includes Appalachian State, Bellarmine, Charleston Southern, Davidson, Duke, East Carolina, Elon, George Washington, Mercer, North Carolina A&T, UNC-Greensboro, Richmond, Samford, Toledo, VCU and Wofford.

Toledo set a 54-hole school record earlier this week at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational with its 22-under par team propelling the Rockets to a fourth-place finish. Toledo's team score of 842 trailed only No. 11 Kansas (829), No. 31 Kent State (836) and No. 28 Michigan State (841).  The Rockets finished ahead of No. 10 South Florida, No. 24 Northwestern and No. 25 Indiana. Toledo's previous record for most strokes under par was 21-under par 843 at the 2002 Badger Invitational.

The Rockets' lineup will include sophomores Barend Botha and Jamie Tofte Nielsen, as well as seniors David Amm, Lukas Clark and Max Siegfried for a third straight tournament. Botha leads the team with a 71.7 stroke average, just ahead of Nielsen (72.1) and Clark (72.8).

Nielsen tied for sixth place at Quail Valley with an eight-under 208 and recorded two eagles in the event. He also was tied for second in par-five scoring at 10-under par and tied for fifth in the field with 15 birdies. Botha tied for 12th place at seven-under par 209 (65-69-75) and was tied for third with 16 birdies.

Clark and Siegfried also finished under par and tied for 34th place at two-under par 214.
