Jacob Harris to Compete at Pan Am Cross Country Cup

Toledo, Ohio - University of Toledo freshman Jacob Harris is slated to compete at the 2020 Pan Am Cross Country Cup at Bear Mountain Golf Course in Victoria, Canada on Saturday. Harris will run in the U20 8K at 10:45 a.m. (PT).
Harris earned his spot on the Team USA U20 squad at the USATF Junior Cross Country Championship, held in San Diego, Calif. on Jan. 18. The Toledo native placed sixth overall with a time of 27:16.7.
In his collegiate debut at the NIU Huskie Challenge on Sept. 6., Harris captured the individual title with a time of 25:52.1, helping the Rockets to a fourth-place finish. The Toledo, Ohio native was the first Rocket to cross the finish line at the MAC Championships, stopping the clock at 25:42.3 to place sixth. Harris's top-10 finish earned him First-Team All-MAC and MAC Freshman of the Year honors. At the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 11, Harris set pace for the Rockets with a time of 31:48.2 to place 54th overall and help the Rockets to a 17th-place team finish.
