Rockets to Visit Unbeaten Marshall Squad on Wednesday

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's basketball team (4-3, 1-0 MAC) heads to Huntington, W. Va. for a mid-week non-conference affair vs. an unbeaten Marshall (4-0) squad. The Rockets and Thundering Herd will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at the Henderson Center in a contest that will be streamed on Conference USA TV.

Toledo features a balanced offense with four players scoring in double digits. Junior Setric Millner Jr. and senior Marreon Jackson lead the way with 15.7 and 15.4 ppg, respectively. Also scoring in double figures are freshman Ryan Rollins (13.6) and senior Spencer Littleson (11.9). All four have led the Rockets in scoring this season.

Millner is grabbing a team-high 8.3 rpg, while Jackson is tallying a team-best 5.0 apg and 1.6 spg. Littleson leads the Rockets with 23 three-point field goals and a 47.9 3PTFG%.

Millner tallied a team-high 17 points and 10 rebounds in Saturday's 64-57 non-conference triumph over Kansas City. He was joined in double digits by Jackson (16 pts.), Rollins (14 pts.) and sophomore Keshaun Saunders (10 pts.).

Marshall is coming off an 81-67 home victory over Ohio and has posted a double-digit win in each contest this season. The Thundering Herd are led by the backcourt tandem of junior Taevion Kinsey (22.3 ppg) and senior Jarrod West (15.3 ppg).

Toledo will be meeting Marshall for the fifth straight season. The Rockets posted a 75-74 (OT) road win in the 2018-19 season before notching a 96-70 road victory and an 82-72 home triumph last year.

Toledo leads 35-23. The Rockets have won three in a row over Marshall, including a 96-70 road win and an 82-72 home victory. Toledo is facing the Thundering Herd in a non-conference contest         for the fifth straight season.

POST TOUCHES
•  Marreon Jackson has scored in double figures in a career-high 28 straight games.  He has led the Rockets in scoring just once this season at EMU after leading the team offensively on 17 occasions last year.
•  Spencer Littleson's eight treys vs. Oakland (Nov. 26) were one shy of the school record held by Kent Murphree on Nov. 24, 1991. Littleson tied Marreon Jackson (2018), Nate Navigato (2018) and Mark German (1986) for the second-most three-point field goals ever by a Rocket in a game.
•  Littleson has scored in double digits in five of seven contests this season after doing so 15 times last year. He was tied for seventh in the MAC last season with a 39.3 three-point FG% and is shooting an even better 47.9 percent from downtown this season.
•  Setric Millner Jr. has registered two double-doubles this season, tallying 17 points and 15 rebounds at Xavier as well as 17 points and 10 boards vs. Kansas City.
•  Millner has scored in double digits in all seven games as a Rocket and has scored a season-high 17 points on five occasions.
•  Ryan Rollins has scored in double digits in six of seven contest. He has tallied 10 pts. vs. Bradley, 17 vs. Oakland, a season-high 20 at Xavier, 15 vs. Cleveland State, 13 at Eastern Michigan and 14 vs. Kansas City.
•  Keshaun Saunders scored a season-high 13 points in Toledo's MAC opener at EMU (Dec. 4) and followed that up with nine points at Michigan and 10 points vs. Kansas City. He is averaging 7.7 ppg and shooting 45.5 percent (10-of-22) from three-point range this season.
•  Mattia Acunzo scored a season-high nine points in Toledo's MAC opener at EMU (Dec. 4) and followed that up with eight points at Michigan. In his last three games, he is averaging 5.7 ppg and 4.7 rpg with a 58.3 FG% (7-of-12) and 50.0 3PTFG% (2-of-4).
 •  The Rockets are shooting MAC-best 40.4 percent from three-point range and knocking down a MAC-best 10.3 treys per game. Toledo has limited its opponents to a 28.8 mark and 6.3 triples per contest.
