TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo men's and women's basketball teams are teaming up with Jersey Mike's to fight hunger in our community.

This special promotion is based on Jersey Mike's slogan -- "A Sub Above." At every game this season, Jersey Mike's will recognize the Rocket men's or women's basketball player who is a "sub above" and scores the most points off the bench. Jersey Mike's will make a food donation to a local charity at the end of the season based on the number of points scored by the top scorer off the bench in each game.

"Jersey Mike's mission is to not only provide great food and service but also to make a difference in people's lives," said local Jersey Mike's owner David Langendorfer. "We are excited to team up with the Rockets to help fight hunger in our community and also to honor great performances from the Rocket subs who come off the bench to help their team win."

Jersey Mike's currently has two locations, on Secor Road in Toledo and at McCord and Central in Sylvania. More locations in the Toledo area will be added soon.
