Yana Khabina Named MAC Scholar Athlete

CLEVELAND, Ohio – University of Toledo senior Yana Khabina was named Female Scholar Athlete of the Week by the Mid-American Conference following her performance for the Rockets last Saturday.
Khabina broke the program record in the 600 meters, placing first in the event with a time of 1:35.14 at the SPIRE Midwest Open in Geneva, Ohio. The Kiev, Ukraine native's time is two seconds faster than the previous record of 1:37.21 set by Rayna Horner.
Khabina posted a 3.835 grade-point average in finance last semester, and she is the second Rocket in the 2019-20 athletic year to be named a MAC Scholar Athlete.
