Rockets Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Accolades

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Toledo swimming and diving team was named to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team after posting a 3.46 grade-point average in the fall 2019 semester.

"Our swimmers and divers make academics a top priority in their daily lives," said interim head coach Brie Globig. "I am extremely proud of their personal commitment to their studies."

The Rockets have a history of academic achievement, as the team was named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team last year after an impressive spring 2019 semester in the classroom. Nineteen swimmers and divers earned a 3.50 or higher last semester, while seven earned a perfect 4.00 GPA. Sophomores Ashley Jeffreys and Kendra Polewski, freshmen Lauren Kilgore and Lisa Lohner, redshirt-freshman Kennedy Lovell, juniors Alida Ramden and Gracie Storm, and senior Bec Welke posted 4.00 GPA during the fall semester.

The CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honor recognizes teams that have achieved a grade-point average of 3.00 or higher and maintain a roster of 12 or more student-athletes.
