TOLEDO, Ohio — The University of Toledo swept all three Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week categories following the Rockets' 28-21 victory over BYU on Sept. 28.
Senior safety
Kahlil Robinson (Charlotte, N.C.) was named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week, junior running back
Shakif Seymour (Cleveland, Ohio) was selected as MAC West Offensive Player of the Week and freshman placekicker
Evan Davis (Shelby, N.C.) was tabbed as MAC West Special Teams Player of the Week.
Robinson set up the game-winning touchdown with an interception with less than a minute remaining in the victory over BYU. The interception was Robinson's second of the season and seventh of his career. He also had four tackles and broke up one pass. Robinson also had a game-saving pick against Eastern Michigan in the waning seconds of a 20-15 win in 2017.
Seymour rushed for a season-high 96 yards on 19 carries in the win over BYU. He scored the game-winner on a two-yard run with 51 seconds to play. He also caught an 18-yard touchdown pass to tie the score in the third quarter.
Davis connected on field goals of 45 and 26 yards in Saturday's win. He is 6-of-6 on his field goal attempts this season. Davis was also 2-of-2 on PATs in the victory.
The Rockets (3-1, 0-0 MAC) host Western Michigan (3-2, 1-0 MAC) in their Homecoming game this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
