Raleigh, N.C. - The Toledo women's track and field team capped its weekend at the Raleigh Relays with four top-10 finishes and three personal-bests today. All together, the Rockets earned a total of 11 top-10 finishes and nine personal-bests on the weekend.  
 
"We're leaving with some personal bests, conference qualifiers, and NCAA preliminary qualifiers, so the trip was definitely a success," said head coach Linh Nguyen. "Janell Rowe had a very good series of jumps in the triple jump, and Shanice Williams and Nautica Hill both finished off strong with the 200m. Petronela Simiuc and Janelle Noe both ran very well in the 800m as well." 
  
Seniors Simiuc and Noe started the day strong in the 800 meters, with both clocking personal bests and Mid-American Conference qualifying times to land in the top-10. Simiuc landed second after posting a time of 2:08.27, and Noe finished seventh with a time of 2:09.48. 
 
In the sprints, senior Shanice WIlliams took ninth in the 200m, clocking a 24.61. Fellow senior Nautica Hill placed 13th with a time of 24.70. 
 
In the Rockets' only field event of the day, sophomore Rowe had a sixth-place finish in the triple jump with a personal-best leap of 11.99m.

The Rockets will host rival Bowling Green in the BGSU Dual Friday, April 5. Field Events will start at 1:00 p.m. with track events starting at 3:30 p.m. A senior recognition is scheduled for approximately 4:15 p.m.
