TOLEDO, Ohio— Four members of the Toledo football team earned All-MAC selections, the league office announced Wednesday.
Sophomore running back Bryant Koback and junior wide receiver Bryce Mitchell both earned Second-Team All-MAC honors, while sophomore defensive lineman Jamal Hines and redshirt freshman offensive lineman Nick Rosi were named Third-Team All-MAC. This is the first all-conference accolade for all four players.
Koback leads Toledo with 1,187 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, ranking fourth in the conference in rushing yards and yards per carry (6.1). His 1,187 yards are currently 13th all-time on Toledo's single-season rushing list. He has two games this year with at least 225 rushing yards, including a career-high 259 against Eastern Michigan. Koback is one of two players in FBS to have at least 225 rushing yards twice this year (Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State). Earlier this season he became the 18th player in program history to crack 2,000 career rushing yards.
Mitchell has tallied 35 receptions for a team-high 679 yards and four touchdowns. He is averaging 19.5 yards per reception, which ranks second in the MAC. He has two 100-yard receiving games: 125 against Northern Illinois and 119 against Western Michigan. Mitchell has led Toledo in receiving yards on five occasions this season.
Hines leads all Rocket down linemen and is sixth on the team with 52 tackles. His 8.5 tackles for loss are second on the team, and he has registered a team-high six quarterback hurries. He had multiple TFLs against Murray State (2.0) and Kent State (2.5).
Rosi has started every game on the offensive line for Toledo. He is an integral part of an offense that ranks second in the MAC and 19th in the country in rushing (224.5 yards/game). Earlier this week, Rosi was named a second-team All-American by Pro Football Focus.
The All-MAC teams are selected by the league's head coaches. Below is a complete list of the MAC's postseason award winners and all-conference selections.
