TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the EMU Fall Classic in Dexter, Mich. on Friday. The women's 5K race will start at 4:30 p.m. with the men's 5K to follow at 5:00 p.m. at the Hudson Mills Metropark. Admission is $10 and includes the cost of parking.
Both squads last competed at the Under Armour Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind. last Saturday with the men taking 13th place and the women taking 31st.
Leading the men was sophomore
Raymond Korir, who garnered his third top-10 finish of the season as he landed sixth with a time of 25:02.0. Next to cross the finish line for the Rockets was freshman
Jacob Harris, who posted a time of 25:57.6 to take 44th.
On the women's side, senior
Petronela Simiuc made her season debut, clocking a personal-best 21:19.2 to take 83rd. Junior
Meltem Yasar stopped the clock with a personal-best time of 21:49.3, taking a minute off from her previous time at the Buckeye Preview.
