CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team swept Mid-American Conference Player of the Week honors after sweeping the weekend with a pair of home-field wins over Ball State and Miami, improving to 3-5-0 in conference play.

Sophomore
Anita Mancini was named MAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after she recorded her second and third career game-winning goals en route to a 2-0-0 weekend for the Rockets. Friday night, in what looked to be a game that was sure to go into overtime, Mancini took Ball State's keeper Tristin Stuteville one-on-one at the top of the 18, beating the keeper to the right side and burying the ball into the back of the net with 8:08 left in the game to break the scoreless tie. Mancini repeated the feat two days later, scoring the game-winner in the 75th minute against Miami. A perfectly placed cross from teammate
Ashton Cassel went straight to the back post where
Alex Troy headed it down to Mancini's feet, who tapped it over the goal line to win the game for the Rockets, 1-0.

Redshirt-freshman
Adrianna Brewer earned both shutouts for the Rockets. With help from her back line, Brewer and the Rockets shutout Ball State for the first time in the Glass City since 2011. The Rockets' win over Ball State broke the Cardinals' five-game win streak and was the first time they were shut out since September. Brewer added her second-career shutout Sunday afternoon when the Rockets defeated Miami, 1-0. The Rockets' shutout of Miami was also the first time they shut out the RedHawks in the Glass City since 2008 and only the ninth time overall.

This is the second time this season that the Rockets have swept MAC Player of the Week awards, as
Stephanie Currie and
Madison Perrin earned the honors after the Rockets defeated Detroit Mercy 4-0 in late September.
"It is great to see the conference recognize both Adrianna and Anita for their tremendous performances last week," said head coach
TJ Buchholz. " Both of them played significant roles on defense and offense to help us win two important conference games."
