UT's 400-medley relay team helped Toledo move to sixth place
Toledo Wraps Up Day Three of MAC Championships

Athens, Ohio - Toledo's swimming and diving team wrapped up day three of the Mid-American Conference Championships hosted by Ohio University today. The Rockets earned five top-eight times and set three personal bests. UT now has 197 points and is ranked sixth in competition.

"It was a better day, we gained some nice momentum," head coach Jonas Persson said following the meet. "We didn't worry too much about our times today. We just wanted to place and get into the finals. We had a finalist in every event this afternoon and I'm happy with what we did."

Freshman Maca Garcia Garay was the first swimmer for the Rockets. Garay finished the 400 IM in 4:18.48, taking fourth place and making the NCAA B-cut.

Next was sophomore Eduara Sales in the 100-yard butterfly. Sales set a new personal best and took seventh place with a time of 55.17.

Up next was sophomore Izzy Jones and senior Allison Dicke in the 200-yard freestyle. Jones earned fourth, touching in at 1:47.90. Her time made the NCAA B-cut and also set a new personal best. Dicke took 16th with a time of 1:51.49.

Sophomore Bec Welke swam the 100-yard breaststroke for Toledo, taking eighth and setting a new personal best time of 1:02.90. Lina Berggren also swam in the 100 breast and finished in 1:04.56, earning 16th.

Next was Maureen O'Sullivan in the 100-yard backstroke. O'Sullivan finished seventh with a time of 55.64.

The last event of the day was the 400-yard medley relay. Jones, Welke, Sales and freshman Alida Ramden finished fourth for UT, touching in at 3:42.83.

The MAC Championships in Athens, Ohio, conclude tomorrow. Prelims are set to begin at 10:30 a.m. and finals are set to start at 6:30 p.m.
