Toledo, Ohio - Three Rockets were named to the 2018 Men's Cross Country Academic All-MAC team, the league announced on Thursday.
Seniors Matthew Gibbons, Josh Oeters, and Brian Stubelt represented the Toledo men's squad. This is the third Academic All-MAC honor for Stubelt and the second for both Gibbons and Oeters.
Gibbons, a mechanical engineering major, was one of six men in the league to maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for their sport.
