Eli Peters Named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week

Toledo, Ohio— University of Toledo sophomore quarterback Eli Peters (Jacksonville, Fla.) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Toledo's 52-36 win over Bowling Green on Oct. 6

Peters made his first career collegiate start and threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns in the Homecoming victory over the Falcons. Starting for the injured Mitchell Guadagni, Peters completed 17-of-35 passes with no interceptions and no sacks.

The Rockets (3-2, 1-0 MAC) travel to Eastern Michigan this Saturday before returning to the Glass Bowl on Oct. 20 to face MAC East Division leader Buffalo in a noon kickoff. Go online or call 419-530-GOLD (4653) for ticket information.
