TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Toledo sophomore Dismas Koech and seniors Titus Koech and Alberto Chelimo each competed in the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals on Friday morning at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
Dismas Koech was the first of the Rocket trio to cross the 10k finish line, doing so in a time of 33:24.2 for 113th place.
Titus Koech followed with a 125th-place finish and stopping the clock at 33:37.3
Rounding out the Midnight Blue & Gold participants was Chelimo in 137th place. Chelimo took 34:05.3 to complete the championship course and finish the year for the Rockets.
"We were hoping for better results out of the runners we brought," said Toledo head coach Linh Nguyen. "A problem for us all year has been translating our good workouts into good races. It's something we're going to put a lot of focus on during the spring. We return a lot of guys so I'm looking forward to a big improvement next year."
Michigan State won the meet with three top 10 finishes while Michigan's Ben Flanagan won the individual title in 30:54.
