KOHLER, WI – Senior Otto Black made a sizable jump on Tuesday during the second round of the 2016 NCAA Kohler Regional, moving up 13 spots to a 28th-place tie at the par-72, 7,123-yard Meadow Valleys Course at Blackwolf Run Golf Club.
Black, who carded an even-par 72 today to sit at two-over par 146 (74-72) through 36 holes, posted two birdies and two bogeys during the second round.

Black began the day on the back nine and shot one-under par 35 thanks to birdies on the par-five, 522-yard 11th hole and par-three, 175-yard 17th hole. The four-time all-league honoree followed it up with a mark of one-over par 37 on the front nine, taking advantage of eight pars and one bogey.
Florida's Alejandro Tosti currently sits atop the individual leaderboard at six-under par 138 (70-68) and holds a two-stroke advantage over Ohio State's Tee-k-Kelly at four-under par 140 (70-70).

Black is one of 75 players, comprised of 13 teams and 10 individuals, taking part in the event, which is scheduled for three rounds. The third and final round will take place on Wednesday with tee times beginning at 7:50 a.m. (CT). Black is set to tee off at 9:53 a.m. (CT) off the 10th hole with Campbell's Gaston Bertinotti and Ohio State's Will Grimmer.
The low five teams and low individual not associated with those squads will advance to the NCAA Championships on Friday-Wednesday, May 27-June 1 in Eugene, OR. OSU's Kelly is the top individual not associated with the low five squads with only 18 holes left to play, six strokes ahead of Black.
