Toledo Tied for Sixth Place at MAC Championships After 54 Holes

SYLVANIA, OH – Toledo is tied for sixth place at 46-over par 898 (296-304-298) following the third round of the 2016 Mid-American Conference Championships on Friday at the par-71, 6,712 yard Highland Meadows Golf Club. The Rockets recorded a score of 14-over par 298 this afternoon to put them into a tie with host Bowling Green (303-300-295) after 54 holes at the league's premier event.
Senior Otto Black continues to lead UT at six-over par 219 (72-73-74) and stands alone in 11th place in the individual standings.
Sophomore Stephen Watts is tied for 20th spot at 13-over par 226 (75-76-75), followed by sophomore closely by Colin Joseph at 16-over par 229 (72-76-81) and senior Thomas Shindler at 17-over par 230 (77-79-74) to sit tied for 28th and 31st place, respectively.
Rounding out UT's lineup is freshman Spencer Shoemaker, who is tied for 36th spot at 20-over par 233 (78-80-75). Â
In the team standings, Kent State remains atop the leaderboard at 12-over par 864 (288-291-285), 15 strokes ahead of Eastern Michigan at 27-over par 879 (288-295-296).
Individually, Northern Illinois' Joo-Young Lee also continues to lead a field of 45 players at one-under par 212 (72-67-73), two shots ahead of Eastern Michigan's Brett White at one-over par 214 (66-75-73).
The Rockets will play 18 holes tomorrow to conclude the tournament and their 2015-16 campaign. Â Â
