Emma Polley Finishes 40th at Olympic Marathon Trials

Los Angeles, CA - Two UT alumnae and assistant coach Samantha Bluske competed in the Olympic Marathon Trials on Saturday, Feb. 13 in Los Angeles.
Only 256 women qualified for the Olympic trials, and the top 3 overall advanced to the Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Emma Polley finished 40th overall with a time of 2:45.03. Fellow alumna Nicole Camp finished 72nd overall with a time of 2:50.36.
Current UT assistant coach Samantha Bluske dropped out of the race at the 20 mile mark.
The Toledo track & field program will close out the indoor season on Feb. 25-26 at the MAC Championships in Akron, OH.
