Toledo Suffers 6-1 Setback at Michigan State

EAST LANSING, MI - The Toledo women's tennis team was unable to extend its four-match winning streak on Saturday, as it lost an away match to Michigan State, 6-1.
The Rockets were unable to capture the doubles point for the first time this season, losing two of three matchups, despite falling just 7-5 in the No. 2 spot and ending the No. 1 matchup unfinished with the contest tied at six.
Toledo earned its only point of the match with a 7-6, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4) win by senior Lexy Pitt at the top singles spot.
Pitt has now won four-consecutive matches, with the last three coming at the No. 1 sinlges spot. She leads the Midnight Blue & Gold with a 7-3 singles record.
The Rockets are back in action on Sunday, March 8 with their first of three spring break matches. Toledo will take on Long Island on March 8, Quinnipiac the following day and South Carolina State on Wednesday, March 11. Each contest will take place in Orlando, FL.
