
Rockets Close Season at NCAA Great Lakes Regionals

MADISON, WI – The Toledo men's cross country team closed the season at the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals on Friday. The 10K race was run on the Thomas Zimmer Championship course and hosted by the University of Wisconsin.
Sophomore Stalline Kurgat paced the Rockets with a time of 33:01.8, good for a 109th place finish. Senior Adam Bess followed Kurgat with a time of 33:03.9. Rounding out the scoring for the Midnight Blue & Gold was senior Hillary Serem, sophomore Louis Guardiola and freshman Andrew Ciaccia. Michigan's Mason Ferlic took home the Regional title with a time of 30:18.3.
UT placed 24th in team scoring with a point total of 669. Toledo had a total time of 2:47:40.2 and averaged a 33:32. 1 time. The Wolverines won the Regional and an automatic bid the NCAA Championships with a score of 67.
