
Brad Pierson Joins UT Sports Medicine Staff

TOLEDO, OH – Brad Pierson is the new associate athletic trainer for the University of Toledo Sports Medicine staff, assistant athletic director for sports medicine Brian Jones announced today.
Pierson will be directly responsible for the health care of the women's basketball program, and will oversee the graduate assistant athletic trainers covering the track and field, cross country and women's volleyball programs.
He spent the past two years at Eastern Michigan University as the primary athletic trainer for the men's basketball, crew and women's volleyball teams.
“I am extremely happy Brad Pierson has joined our sports medicine team. Brad is a highly motivated young professional with tremendous skills and work ethic,” Jones said. “He will provide our student-athletes with excellent health care and represent our program and university in a first-class manor. We are glad he's a Rocket.”
Pierson earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training in 2009 from Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, WV, before going to EMU to earn his master's degree in exercise physiology and working on the sports medicine staff as a graduate assistant.
In 2011, Pierson accepted a position at the West Virginia University Technical Institute of Technology as an assistant athletic trainer and professor in the physical education department.
A native of Charleston, WV, Pierson is a certified athletic trainer in the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
Pierson is married to Bridget Conley.
