
Women's Tennis Defeated by Michigan State, 5-2

East Lansing, MI - The Toledo women's tennis team was defeated by Michigan State, 5-2, on Friday, Feb. 10. MSU won the doubles point and UT was only able to win two out of the six singles matches, as the Spartans got the win.
The Rockets (1-3, 0-0 MAC) picked up wins in No. 3 doubles and first- and second-singles. Sophomore Amanda Border teamed up with junior Alexandra Cristello to defeat MSU's Gruber/Yen by a count of 8-6. In No. 1 singles, senior Kelsey Anonsen defeated Herzog, 6-2, 6-0, while freshman Pia Rygh picked up her second win in second-singles, topping Chernova, 7-6, 6-3.
Toledo returns to the court on Friday, Feb. 17 when the team travels to Fort Wayne, IN to compete against IPFW.
