Rockets Suffer 4-0 Defeat in MAC Quarterfinals

KALAMAZOO, MI - The Toledo women's tennis team saw its season come to a close with a 4-0 setback against Buffalo in the MAC Tournament Quarterfinals on Friday at Western Michigan.

The Rockets, who entered as the No. 4 seed, conclude the 2010 campaign with a 12-7 record.

Buffalo, the fifth seed, took two out of the three doubles matches to claim the first point of the contest. Ashley Frey and Nadia Zoubareva scored an 8-5 victory in the second flight, but UB claimed the other two matches and led 1-0.

The Bulls followed with victories at third, fourth and sixth singles to close out the match.

Toledo's seniors ended their careers with 56 match victories, the most of any four-year class in program history.
