The 2009-10 season marks the debut for a new radio rights holder for Rocket sports, Rocket Sports Properties (a property of Learfield Sports), as well as the debut of a radio network devoted solely to University of Toledo sports.

Rocket Sports Properties (RSP) has secured The University of Toledo and The University of Toledo Medical Center as the collaborative naming sponsor in a new three-year partnership beginning the fall of 2009.  The partnership provides UT and UTMC with naming rights to the radio network for football, men's basketball, women's basketball and coaches shows. The official network name is now the Rocket Sports Radio Network from Learfield Sports presented by The University of Toledo.

WSPD (AM 1370) in Toledo will serve as the flagship station for the network. The 2009 season will mark the 43rd year that Rocket football games will be broadcast on WSPD. WSPD, which has a continuous 5,000-watt signal, has broadcast UT football and basketball games for all but one year since 1965.

The network will also include stations in Cleveland (WKNR 850 AM/WWGK 1540 AM) and Detroit (WDTW 1310 AM).

Catch every snap this fall when the Rockets take the field. The Rockets Sports Radio Network has you covered, starting with the pregame show two hours ahead of each contest. Mark Beier handles the play-by-play again this season with UT Hall of Famer Tom Duncan serving as color analyst and Jim Heller reporting from the sidelines.

ROCKETS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
WCWA is proud to be the home of Rocket Women's Basketball again this year. Don't miss a minute of the action this season as Head Coach Tricia Cullop and the Rockets take the court for the 2009-2010 campaign. Tune in for the pregame show and all the way through the post-game show. Each broadcast features the play-by-play calls of Rich Hoffer again this season.

ROCKETS COACHES SHOW presented by The University of Toledo
The Rockets Coaches Show presented by the University of Toledo is a one-hour long show hosted by Rocket play-by-play man Mark Beier that features head coach Tim Beckman during football season and head men's basketball coach Gene Cross during basketball season. In addition to discussing the X's and O's for each sport, each coach will also breakdown recent games, highlight upcoming games and possibly have a student-athlete on-air for a player spotlight.

ROCKETS DAILY SHOW
The Rockets Daily Show is a three-minute magazine style feature that is broadcast daily Monday through Friday. The show is hosted by Rocket play-by-play man Mark Beier and includes highlights from recent games, plus previews of upcoming games and player spotlights. The Rocket Daily Show is aired on WSPD (Toledo) and WDTW (Detroit).
