“This was the best team effort we have had so far this season,” Head Coach Tracy Mauntler said. “We played some aggressive doubles and took the momentum early and didn't look back. At the beginning of the season, we talked about getting a little better every day at practice and with every match. Today we got better.”
Winning at the No. 1 spot was sophomores Martina Wodzinski and Nadia Zoubareva, 8-3, over Duquesne's Johanna Bezjak and Rachel McGowan. Wodzinski and Zoubareva are 1-1 when paired together.
Freshman Ashley Frey and sophomore Maha Guirguis defeated DU's Rebecca Poole and Alexandria Albano, 8-3. Frey and Guirguis moved their doubles record to 5-0 on the indoor season.
At No. 3 doubles, junior Jenny Belsky and senior Sarah Horning beat the Dukes Zena Williams and Andrea Sailer, 8-5. Belsky and Horning are 1-1 on the indoor season when playing together.
The Rockets won all but one singles match for five more points.

Frey played at the No. 2 spot for the fifth time this indoor season and came away with another win to move her record to 4-1. She defeated Duquesne's Bezjak 6-4, 6-3, for the Rockets second singles point.
