Toledo, OH - Toledo women's tennis captured their fourth Mid-American Conference victory today, defeating Northern Illinois 6-1. The Rockets are 13-3 overall and a perfect 4-0 in the MAC.
Capturing the doubles point were the No. 1 and No. 2 teams of Myriam Cueva and Nadia Zoubareva and Martina Wodzinski and Maha Guirguis. Both teams defeated their opponent 8-5.
In singles, Cueva, Wodzinski, Guirguis and Jenny Belsky dominated their competition winning in two sets each. Jessica Azouly won at No. 6 in three sets, 5-7, 6-1, 10-2, while Zoubareva lost in three.
Currently the Rockets are tied with Western Michigan for first place in the MAC. Toledo will compete at home again next weekend where they will face the Buffalo at 1 PM on Friday, April 13.
