NORFOLK, VA - Toledo (1-2) could never quite get its offense going tonight as the Rockets dropped a 66-35 decision at Old Dominion (2-0) before a crowd of 7,828 at the Monarchs' Ted Constant Convocation Center. The point total was UT's lowest since falling by a 78-33 margin at
Junior guard Jonathan Amos led the Rockets with nine points, while senior forward Jerrah Young contributed a career-high nine rebounds.
Old Dominion utilized a balanced attack with senior Abdi Lidonde (11), senior Brian Henderson (11) and sophomore Gerald Lee (10) all scoring in double figures. Senior Brandon Johnson probably produced the best game though for the Monarchs with nine points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and five steals. Senior center Sam Harris also made his 7-foot-3 presence felt with seven blocked shots.
