* The Rockets trailed at the end of the third quarter, 34-22, before scoring 13 points to record the come-from-behind victory. The 12-point deficit the Rockets overcame is the fourth-largest ever under seventh-year Head Coach Tom Amstutz.
* Freshman QB D.J. Lenehan made his first collegiate start and finished 19-of-23 for 226 yards, including a 28-yard TD pass in the third quarter. Lenehan started the contest red-hot and completed his first 11 passes.
* Senior RB Jalen Parmele carried the ball 30 times for 169 yards and four TD's. All three offensive categories are a season high for the 2006 first-team All-MAC honoree. Parmele also went over the century mark for the second-consecutive game and seventh time in his career. With tonight's effort, Parmele moved into ninth place all-time in school history with 2,217 yards.
* Sophomore LB Derrick Summers made his first collegiate start in place of junior Keith Forestal and tallied a team-high 10 stops. In the last two games, Summers has 21 tackles. Forestal had started the first five games this season.
* Sophomore PK Alex Steigerwald converted a 29-yard field goal in the first quarter and is a perfect 4-of-4 on field-goal attempts this season and 11-of-12 for his career.
* For the third-consecutive game, the Rockets scored on their opening possession with a 29-yard field goal by Alex Steigerwald. UT's drive covered 91 yards on 14 plays and took up a season-high 8:08. D.J. Lenehan was also a perfect 4-of-4 on the opening drive.
* UT's eight-minute plus opening scoring drive was a little less than two minutes greater than their next closest drive, which was 6:18 against
* Sophomore DaJuane Collins carried the ball a career-high 15 times for 86 yards, including an eight-yard TD run in the second quarter.
* Freshman RB Gordon Warner saw his first collegiate action and carried the ball three times for 10 yards. Through the first six games this season, a total of 42 freshmen and sophomores have seen action for the Rockets.
* Senior WR Andrew Hawkins caught a career-high seven passes for 49 yards. Hawkins entered tonight's game with a total of seven receptions in the first five games.
