Assistant Coach Michael Grant's Contract Not Renewed

TOLEDO, OH - Toledo Head Coach Stan Joplin announced today that assistant men's basketball coach Michael Grant's contract will not be renewed. Joplin said that a national search will be conducted for Grant's replacement.

"Michael represented our program well during the past season and we wish him and his family all the best," Joplin said.

Grant served as an assistant coach for the Rockets in the 2005-06 campaign and helped UT to a 20-11 win-loss mark along with an appearance in the MAC Championship Game. Prior to joining the Rocket program, he had spent the last nine years as head coach at Southern University (2003-05) and Central State (OH) University (1996-2003).
