Rockets Open Up 2005 Training Camp

Toledo, OH - The University of Toledo officially open up training camp today with its first practice of the season this afternoon.

The Rockets, preseason pick by the MAC News Media Association to win the West Division of the Mid-American Conference, return 16 starters from last year's MAC Championship team. Leading the way are senior quarterback Bruce Gradkowski and senior All-MAC defensive back Keon Jackson.

Practices are closed to the general public except for Saturday, Aug. 20. The Rockets will host an open practice at 9:30 a.m. on that date, followed by an autograph session at 11:30.

Toledo opens the season on Thursday, Sept. 1 in the Glass Bowl vs. Western Illinois.
